Description
xPerfectly Imperfect. Unmistakably Yours.
In a world of factory uniformity, the Shaolin "Raw Earth" Mug stands apart as a rebel. It isn't spun on a wheel; it is hand-pinched from coarse pottery clay, capturing the very fingerprints and energy of the artisan who shaped it.
The Beauty of Wabi-Sabi This mug celebrates the Japanese aesthetic of Wabi-Sabi—finding beauty in the rough, the natural, and the incomplete. The high-temperature oxidation firing process creates unpredictable, organic textures on the surface. Some areas mimic the bark of an ancient tree, others the rugged surface of a stone. No two mugs are exactly alike.
Warmth in Your Hands The handle is tightly wrapped in natural hemp rope, providing a soft, tactile contrast to the hard ceramic. It not only adds a rugged, bohemian charm but also acts as a comfortable heat shield, letting you cradle your hot coffee or warm milk without worry.
A Ritual for One With a capacity of 270ml (approx. 9 oz), this is an intimate vessel. It is not for gulping down a giant latte on the go; it is for savoring a pour-over coffee, a rich hot chocolate, or a calming herbal tea while you read a book or watch the rain.
Key Features
100% Hand-Pinched Craftsmanship: Formed by fingers, not machines. The irregular, organic shape feels "alive" in your hands.
Rustic Rope Handle: Wrapped in natural hemp twine for a comfortable, non-slip grip that stays cool even when the drink is piping hot.
"Living" Texture: The coarse clay and oxidation firing create natural crackles and color variations that deepen and change character over years of use.
Cozy Capacity: Holds 270ml (~9.1 oz), the perfect size for a standard cup of black coffee or breakfast milk.
One-of-a-Kind: Due to the handmade nature and kiln variations, the mug you receive will be uniquely yours, with its own distinct personality.
